Text tone checker

Paste the message. You get a read on length, questions, and whether it sounds like a person or a follow-up email.

Tone is why the same sentence lands or dies. Too short reads dry. Too long reads like you are managing the chat. This checker looks at the shape of the text, not the spelling.

It will not tell you that you are a bad person. It will tell you the message is doing too much, or not enough.

What to look for before you send

  • One question is plenty. Two feels like an interview. Zero feels like a statement they have to work to continue.
  • If you are explaining yourself, cut it. The apology for a late reply is usually longer than the actual message.
  • Match their length. A paragraph after lol is a mismatch.

Questions people ask

Can a tone checker read sarcasm?
Not well. It looks at length, punctuation, and questions. If the joke depends on voice, you still have to judge that yourself.
Is a short text always dry?
No. A short text with a hook is fine. A short text with nothing to answer is the problem.
Should I run every message through this?
No. Use it when you are stuck or overthinking. If you already know what you want to say, send it.
